I have no idea. On discovery channel I always only see lions... and the only other tiger I know is the one from the Jungle Book. *g* But don't all cats purr?

They either roar or purr. For some reason (no one really knows why or how cats purr exactly) if they have the ability to purr, they can't roar, and if they have the ability to roar, they can't purr. So tigers, panthers, lions -- they don't purr. But cheetahs do. *cuddles purring cheetah.*
