The Rules of the Game



I explained all the prison rules to Malfoy. There were a lot of them. Sections were not to mix, the curfews, rations, the lines to do laundry once a week, work hours — though we could work overtime if we wanted. Ha.

Finally he asked, “Did you have to kill someone for that blanket?”

“No. Percy got it for me.” When I saw his funny look I explained. “He works overtime.”

“For Death Eaters?” Wasn’t much I could say to that. Percy was Percy.

Then Malfoy got this pitying look on his face. “Just how long have you been here, Ron?”

Thanks to outsourcing Earthlink customer service to bloody INDIA, I was told that the folders would be unaffected when they changed to a new product. That was untrue. And the damned thing's not allowing me to change everything back.

You'd think after living with someone for months you’d know everything about them. But I came home a little early one day and as I opened the door, I heard this singing. Just one high, choirboy voice. I think it was Italian. I stayed absolutely still, hushed.

I didn’t make a sound until his singing stopped. And I didn’t move for a moment after that, either.

I never told him that I heard.

Hey You - chapter three

So I wrote the new part of 'Beg Me For It', 'Hey You' in preparation for 'SNAFU.' I was really happy with it. Gave it to CLS who said:

"This is a great chapter. But - and this is a minor complaint - it doesn't stand on its own as a separate story. Wasn't this supposed to be like 'Sex, Drugs and Death Eater Rock' and stand by itself?"

Wah...! But, but, it came out of its own accord, effortless and lovely. Passionate. Powerful.

And she's *heavy sigh* right. All the major archectural changes she's suggesting just wreck it, I'm certain.

*wails*

Auror Exam

LOL! When I received this note from Lizard, I thought, "wow. No matter what scene she picks, this is going to be hot." Ron's hysterical, and Draco is exactly as I pictured him. Look at those legs... and slightly rumpled, too. Mmmmm.
