Off to a good start to the day so far - an Ishie award!

I've just been informed that First Signs Of Magic: Hermione Granger is up for an Ishie Award for March in the mirth category. I like that, given I had to lock myself in the bathroom when I wrote it -- I laughed until I cried.

For all the slash readers, the First Signs Of Magic series remains the most popular and heavily reviewed of my stories.

I actually wrote it because I had just written the three-way PWP Unexpected Guest for the sleazy fic drive and felt like I needed to clean out my mind with a toilet brush. Unexpected Guest is rarely reviewed, but I often get little sidenotes from people who mention... "er... I've read it. Many, many times." LOL!

Something wicked this way comes... No, it's not a smutfic, but a tense, well-plotted murder mystery with hilarious imaginative magic. You will laugh and still shiver with real fear as this story sweeps you along. I was unable to put it down, and started reading faster and faster to find out what happens with a sense of imminent doom. Very suspenseful, scary with a poignant core of angst: Ron's past with Harry and the attitudes of the Wizarding world -- all leavened with humour, and the comfortably warm snarky relationship between Ron and Draco. There's a lot in this story. Go read.
