A gem show for tiny hands.
Jun. 29th, 2008 09:46 amDo I have to wait until the end of the voting in
mcshep_match to post recs? Because some of those recs may appear to be disloyal to my team. *g* I'm wishing that I'd been saving the links to the super-hot
kink_bingo fics.
I went to a gem show yesterday. Didn't get to spend nearly as much time as I would've liked. (Beads, oh lovely beads, how it hurt to skip your tables....)
Playing around with those little ring-sizer-loopy-thingies they have, I learned why I never buy rings. Dear god, I wear a two.
Do you know how small that is?
A two is so small, the jeweler on the other side of the counter refused to believe me until I showed him by sliding the loop on in front of him. He blinked.
A two is so small, it's the last, tiniest loop they have.
A two is so small, certain styles can't be worn because the gems will pop off at that angle.
A two is so small, it makes ordinary gems look like massive rocks.
A two is so small, you can't fit a dime in it.
A two is so small, it is three full sizes smaller than the smallest rings they offer in catalogs.
A two is so small, you can't just have a ring re-sized. It must be custom made.
Okaaaay. So I'm going to stick with buying earrings. Those at least are one-size-fits-all.
