Surgery tomorrow

wildernessguru's mom has her surgery tomorrow. I hope you don't mind the absence of fandom stuff over the next few days.

Utterly wiped. I forgot how terrific and how exhausting Buddhist puja can be, particularly after a full day's work, and a mile hike home.

When I went to take the offerings outside, my body was like lead. Had to take the steps very carefully.

Maakes such a difference in the mind, though. Everything seems lighter, calmer, more relaxed internally. Easier to manage ones mind like I've been, oh, lifted up on a fulcrum and the mental habits that were difficult to manage before are easier to direct.

Which isn't why I just did three hours of practice. I was doing this for wildernessguru's mom.

I forgot how much work this is.
