Our friend The Puppy is back and staying with us for a bit.

I'm sort of doing, oh, nothing.

Absolutely nothing. For the first time in a long time I haven't written anything on a weekend (except interimminister), no plotting for stories, no work on websites: nada. My mind feels like it's rehydrating.

We're kicked back watching the grittiest movie ever made: The Sorcerer. Intense and brilliant, it will burn an after image onto your retina.

- WG's mom isn't going to have to do radiation either!
- I have my college funding. It was too little, but then they revised it to include Work Study. So I'm up early tomorrow to find out what jobs are available.
- I told the CEO's assistant about the yelling and general abuse in my department. (Um. After I was moving my desk at any rate.) She told the CEO, and it's gone to the head of Human Resources. It's supposed to be completely confidential. We'll see if that's really true.

Only a few more weeks.

Ooh, William Friedkin's Sorcerer? If it's that one, that's an excellent movie. The soundtrack is fantastic.

The Tangerine Dream soundtrack? Yeah, that's the one. Incredible movie. The Puppy's never seen it.

Yeah, it's all positive news. I have that sort of quiet disbelief about it that comes from a string of bad luck. You're sort of hunched over waiting for the next blow, even when things start going well. But so far, so good.
