All's quiet at the office.

There's the clicking of keyboards.

The occasional squeak of a chair.

A phone blibber-bleeps and is answered. Is hung up again, with a cla-clunk.

The typing continues over the whirr of the printer.

Then a plaintive voice says:

"I don't wanna work."

Everyone bursts out laughing.

No. It wouldn't. It was someone else. I don't even feel that way.

I'm attacking the story... why must you ALWAYS be right?

I could use the chocolate to be perfectly honest. That was a very funny moment (it was the woman in the cube kitty corner from me), but for the moment things aren't going so great.

My theory is, I'm okay with mistakes, so long as I don't make them.

You're one hell of a beta - seriously. I currently am just moving through it, fleshing out (haa haa bad pun) parts of the fic, trying to get into Remus's skull. I finally have an actual REASON for him to find snape attractive like this. So yes, I find you well nigh perfect as a beta (as for most other stuff too)...

I tried to draw you Percy/Lucius smut today, but... um... they look like hobbits on crack. I shall try write tomorrow, the must was refusing to bite. Stupid stupid muse. I think it was stuck on fat!snape and concrete...

Thank you. What a relief... *Icarus puts head in hands* I worry so much over betas, and I was really afraid that I was too tough this time in particular.

It's kinda like my 'BOING!' noise I play offline during class at school. >.>

No, no, no... it was the girl in the cube kitty-corner from me. She'd just returned from vacation and there was a huge task waiting for her, lurking in her office. Everyone could understand the wail.

It was pretty funny though.

I don't blame her though -- she had this huge task waiting for her.

It's particularly funny because at least in the states, no one ever admits that they're not feeling "hard-working." :D

Yeah, it's too bad there are so little laws to sack somebody. It's crazy to hear people being sacked on the spot. Belgians usually get a couple of weeks to prepare and I think employers even need to have a valid reason to fire somebody. The negative side of this is that people that don't do their job, don't get sacked at all. I know a librarian in charge of one of the biggest libraries in our capital, is a drunk and he passes most of the time in his office drinking. He's worked in that place for over 15 years.
