OH. Thank you so much for posting this in your journal. The entry contains so many wonderful permissions for people who love to write.

Such a breath of fresh air, especially in fandom where there are many pro writers for sure but mainly people like me who cobble sentences together for the fun of it. So important to be reminded that it is the act of writing that is important.

More power to all who love to write, for whatever reason!

Spread the writing luff far and wide.

Gave me an odd feeling of pride. Odd because I'm not the slightest bit as productive as many.
I hope you don't mind me pointing out there are Sins:
Seven Deadly Sins of *not* writing
1. The washing up needs doing ….
2. Must put that load of dirty laundry in …..
3. Then there’s that phone call to my old friend, erm, Thingummygig, that I’ve been meaning to make for six months ….
4. Gosh, my purse is bursting-full of receipts, must clear it out
5. Agh, snagged a nail … I know, let’s do it properly, where’s that nail polish too ….
6. I only opened this book of poems for some inspiration, but it’s so good now I can’t put it down ….
7. Let’s just settle down at the computer, then, but before I start writing I’ll just update my LJ – and, oh look, my friends have posted some new fanfic ….

No kidding! I had to practically chain myself to my computer to crank out SNAFU. After dinking over the same paragraphs over and over again, I gave myself page minimums (5 pages per day, about 2,000 words) that I had to do, no matter what. I called it "kamikaze writing."

Actually, some of the most creative stuff came out of that.

That's what namowrimo and RPGs are for though - to make you bust your tail and just write. :D
