Let's see. How was this handled?

An employee took me off at the knees, publicly, twice, using the opportunity to rip her boss. Loudly.

I talked to someone about it.

The boss discussed the situation with the employee who shredded me. She never talked to me.

This is a first. Not even the usual "symbolic gesture" of meeting with both parties before doing nothing.

A true, new low.

And I thought I was cynical before.

*sets desk on fire*

I don't know how I can stand another millisecond here. 8 days and 2 hours to go.



ETA: Wow. I was really pissed.

There's lots of good things going on. It's just that all the bad ones are taking 8 hours a day, while I'm online, while the good ones are just in the evening when I'm not.

Somehow I hit a turning point this afternoon. Or something. I bumped into the CEO and the look on his face... I could tell he knew. His assistant had told him of Wuss!Boss' cowardice (I really like our CEO). His assistant, Barb and I talked last night. The expression as he met my eyes was somewhere between fury, disgust, understanding, and amusement at the utter folly of the situation.

Either that, or I project beautifully. But anyway, the folly of the situation has finally percolated to my brain, and I'm not angry any more (at least right now).

Barb and I were sort of laughing this afternoon, in utter disbelief.
