Harry/Snape night
Sep. 16th, 2004 07:48 pmIt seems this is Harry/Snape night.
A grateful thank you to
switchknife for pointing out this story:
Mind-Fucking by Snakeling, Severus/Harry, RATED R/NC-17, DUBIOUS CONSENT, CHAN. 'Snape takes great care in keeping it all rather vanilla.'
This is a fic that convinces that a post-OotP Harry/Snape is possible, if very, very different from the GoF Harry/Snape.
And oh hell it's hot.

Date: 2004-09-18 04:03 am (UTC)I've just read Cordelia_v's essay on sex magic, which I believe inspired Snakeling's fic.
Fabulous misuse of Legilimens. Ah, I love a good Snape/Harry. I've been meaning to ask, do you have any S/H plots in the pipeline? You may have converted me to Percyness, but I think you write a good Snape.

Date: 2004-09-18 05:07 am (UTC)Harry grew up, and made the pairing more combative. I can write it, but there's no longer that symmetry that existed pre-OotP. The gentler, more observant Harry was an excellent balance to Snape. They just clicked beautifully. Now - no.
OotP did improve the options for Harry/Ron by bringing a different type of tension into the relationship.
Percy has moved into the "hated" role that Snape once occupied. Thus my interest in Percy parallels my interest in Snape.
I do tinker with Snape Manor every now and then....
I believe that Harry/Snape will work again after the next book is published. To tell you the truth, I do not enjoy the combination of post-OotP Harry/Snape, and I don't read it very often these days.
