Fun with Trolls!

Is it wrong that 1anonymous1, lycoris, iibnf, wankstar and I have had this much fun? I mean, trolls are supposed to be nasty, unpleasant creatures that live under bridges and grab unsuspecting passersby, and certainly not sources of entertainment and amusement.

In other news, it appears that I am allergic to the antibiotic I was given for the ear infection. Either that, or I have a disease that causes a rash of tiny no-I-haven't-run-through-poison-sumak-why? puscules all over my face and neck.

What's next? (Don't answer that.)

I guess it's time to either write another Percy (interimminister TM) post. Or work on the sex "drabble" that comes between Stand In The Ruins and Scarred, for the Beg Me For It series.

Or maybe both.

What medication is it? I know some antibiotics are kind of common to be allergic to, and your reaction sort of sounds like when my mum accidently gets close to sulfa drugs.

Amoxicillin, and my cousin's allergic to penicillin (almost certain I spelled that wrong). We don't know if my mom's allergic, because she's never taken antibiotics, not once in 60 years.

Ahhh, not to butt in, but you could be allergic to it, especially from what you've mentioned. I'm allergic myself and I can't take it at all without breaking out in hives around my face and neck.

Yep, that's exactly where I have it -- all over my face and neck. Itchy, tiny little dots like mini-chicken pox. Oh, this sucks. I've been slathering on the aloe vera all day.

[nods] Yep, most likely you are allergic. Tell your doctor to either cut your dose or to put you on a different antibiotic the next time you see him. And make absolutely sure he puts it on your chart so you won't have to suffer again.

(I don't really have that much of a sense of humour, to be honest. But I do like hippos. I mean, they're huge, cute, squishy, and I have heard that they kill more people than any other mammal! What's not to like?)

Have you seen Troll? It's a translation from Finnish or Norwegian or Swedish, of a sort of gay love story involving a literal troll. I stared at in the bookstore, but it looked rather sad in a literary way, so I didn't buy it; seemed fascinating, though.
