Thank goodness. The fuzzhead is resting quietly after a rough night. The petroleum jelly around his mouth and ears and eyes were what he needed. The fleas started biting there when the flea poison was put on him. Augh.

He's exhausted, and I think Frontline flea poison makes him feel low-energy, too. It's been an unusually bad flea season this year I'm told - it's the first time in five years he's ever had them. If there's any way I can avoid poisoning him and the fleas, I'd do it. But as a Buddhist I have to weigh the consequences of ongoing flea-bombing/drowning/flushing/vacuuming as opposed to making fleas infertile and stopping the cycle altogether.

Thank you to all who offered advice last night and this morning. It was a relief to hear from you. [livejournal.com profile] wildernessguru says, "Thank you! I LOVE LJ."

Would anyone like to beta This story?

And other fanfic news: I'm starting to tinker with that missing scene from Beg Me For It, the "drabble" that has, er, grown to 11 pages now.

Glad you got the fleas under control. I've owned 2 dogs that were allergic to flea bites and would scratch/bite themselves raw. They would go around half of the year with no hair on their backs. Frontline and Advantage were god-sends. In fact, after several years on Frontline, we had no fleas in our yard at all. Annie's final years were comfortable and flea-free. That, and when my children were babies they lived on the carpet. Nothing worse than finding a flea bite on your baby.

If there's anything I can say to encourage you, let me know! I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it!

I'd say this was fairly encouraging. :D I may have to give up on the idea of this part having a lot of sex. Believe it or not, it's the sex I'm having trouble writing. Me! Icarus-who-clocks-a-sex-scene-per-every-five-pages. Icarus-who-wrote-14-NC17-fics-in-a-year. Icarus-the-one-who-claims-to-have-never-repeated-a-sex-scene-they'realluniqueyestheyare.

Maybe I've O.D.ed?

Unbelievable. The ending is clear. It's right there in my mind's eye. But the sex wants to switch POV, and it can't.
