Ever run a marathon?

You know that last few hundred feet, where your legs are giving way, the end is in sight, and it suddenly gets a lot harder to run because you know the agony is almost over?

Yeah.

This is my final week for Japanese, except for the final exam next Thursday at 8am. My law class will trickle on till next Tuesday, while my Philosophy class will meet on its regular schedule through the final next Wednesday.

Almost there... crawl, crawl.

Every other quarter I've had tons of papers to write. This time it's memorization. Tons of memorization.

Yikes, I know exactly what you mean about the marathon thing. I actually read an article that said that if you envision the marathon being longer and the end being farther, you work harder and don't think about it. But when you're in the last legs, it's alot more difficult. It's probably the same with finals. I have four term papers and four finals to take by next week. :( That's what I get for being an English major.

Gah. I'm used to getting no sleep the last two weeks of school, because I mostly take English classes and other such writing-heavy courses. This is a different, very special kind of torment.
