Even Better Raw by Narcissa Malfoy.

This is so hot, your palms will sweat by the last chapter. Sensual, seductive. A Draco that is still a nasty, nasty boy (breathes sigh of relief). A Harry that is still rather innocent. Well. To a point. That cab ride...

My boyfriend tried to talk to me while I was reading it, and I guess my response was a bit... abrupt. And I kept reading. Heck, they were in the cab at that point. (You'll understand when you read it.)

I'm wondering if I should niffle? I think maybe I read too much NC-17 for that.

Oh GAWD!! I've recced this, both on FAP and LJ, and... wow. Yes, it's hot. And fun, which is a rare thing to find. (I mean, there's stories that have lovely angst, and romance, etc., but this one manages to be a sexy, rollicking read.)

Do Niffle it. This one needs as much exposure as it can get. As long as you make sure to warn the readers that it's a 'STRONG R', it should be OK... Not that NC-17, I should think...

Actually, I was wondering if I wanted to take on the responsibility of being a niffler in the first place. Great job, but am I up to it?

They just deciding the new nifflers now (get your applications in by May 25th). You, by-the-by, would be a great niffler. You've already found so many gems. I love knife catharis, really wonderful stuff.

Oh, by the way, *nudge*nudge* any word on 'Sex, Drugs and Death Eater Rock'? I'm nose first into the deadline, and if there's any rewriting to do... thumbs up on the inserts? Thumbs down? *whimpers*

Yikes! *hurriedly opens Death Eater files* Be back to you on that tonight, dear. Terribly sorry... Have a memory like a farking warp hole! Things go right through, never to reappear...

Oh, I don't think I could be a Niffler, essentially because while I read somewhere between 50000000 and 70000000 fics a month, that's only when I'm not travelling. And we have to Niffle at least 4 fics a month, which I may or may not be able to do, depending on Internet access. And, of course, the fact that I want to keep all my recs on the existing FAP thread, neatly gathered in one place for my fellow slashers.

Do take it up though, if you can manage 4 Niffles a month! Anything you'd rec, I'd read... :)

*runs off to read SDADER*

Hey there, regarding Death Eater Rock... um?

It's due tomorrow for the Boozefest, so any changes I make to it have to be done today. *makes enormous pleading puppy eyes at [livejournal.com profile] switchknife*

Today? Please? I'm not looking for a Beta review, just a read through and comparison of the two versions: use the one with quote inserts, or use the one without.

Death Eater Rock - Vote: No inserts!

Hi Icarus,

God, I'm sorry for getting to you this late, hope it isn't too late... *cringes*

I've read both versions, side by side, and I'd have to say I'd go with the one WITHOUT inserts. I don't think the inserts are really needed, plot-wise, and sometimes they jar the flow of the narrative.

The discussion of dresses and lipstick and drugs...! So cute! This is definitely one of the sweetest, kinkiest Ron/Draco romances out there. :)

How much can two wizards drink!?! *grin* Cross-dressing, mirrors and kink... God, I'm in heaven...

'Fuck me, Draco!'

*giggles insanely*

Wonderful! Thank you, yes, you are in time!

I'll probably make the version with inserts available on my website, as a point of comparision.

*Sighs* What a relief.

I'm off to upload it to the

How much can they drink? Gee. How much was it? Let's see, last count it was a bottle of aged Scotch (that was the amber liquid - Draco had a least four glasses before Ron came home), several glasses of Saki (Ron drank most of this, Draco only sipped his), and a beer each... yeah, no wonder Ron was sloshed. Oh, and a few glasses of red wine, shared, though Draco drank most of that; it was a good wine and he knew exactly what he had.

But Draco spread his drinking out over h o u r s, while Ron drank most of his heavily and fast, before dinner, so for a while there he was really plastered. One reason Ron was on the bottom until that last encounter at 5am - he was not physically capable earlier in the evening. Overall, their drinking was spread out from 2pm (well, 6pm for Ron) till 1am. Draco slowed his drinking down a lot once Ron came home. Heh. For obvious reasons.

Yes. Well. His mouth was otherwise occupied. :D :D

God, this is a brilliant series... Once you've got a fixed addy for it, at the boozefest or your web-site, tell me so that I can rec it to the world!!!

(I loved Ron in this, how innocent and yet... well, eager he was, once he actually saw himself as a woman in the mirror... God, that was funny. (And disconcertingly arousing.) And Draco, of course, one can't make up one's mind between shagging him and hitting him and loving him--annoying, sexy, charming brat.)
