For those who don't want to dig through 100 comments (fancy that) I see my aaaaaugh! stems from the fact that I'm a year behind the rest of the fandom, and will continue to be a year behind. My HP friends know that I like to dive in with both feet and Meta to my heart's content -- but alas, with Stargate that is impossible. (taselby has suggested a solution, but I'm not sure I understand said solution yet.)

I do plan to keep writing Jack/Daniel, because I love Jack/Daniel (HP fans, just watch, oh, The Nox -- see how close they sit? See the fond looks, the petty snarking? Slightly geeky but idealistic scientist/slightly abrasive but warm-as-a-puppy soldier? What's not to love?).

But when it comes to the fandom play over the latest episodes -- please excuse my nose-prints on the windows. I'm locked out, and there's nothing I can do about it.

Okay, you're officially invited over to my house, where we can watch all seven seasons back-to-back. Then in August when I buy season eight, we'll do another marathon, Haagen Dazs in hand.

Then we'll stand outside the window and sigh as everyon squees over season nine... and go back inside to replay season one, two and three.

I fear that I won't be able to get season eight on DVD for at least one year here. *whines* Really don't want to think about season nine right now. Guh!
