For those who don't want to dig through 100 comments (fancy that) I see my aaaaaugh! stems from the fact that I'm a year behind the rest of the fandom, and will continue to be a year behind. My HP friends know that I like to dive in with both feet and Meta to my heart's content -- but alas, with Stargate that is impossible. (taselby has suggested a solution, but I'm not sure I understand said solution yet.)

I do plan to keep writing Jack/Daniel, because I love Jack/Daniel (HP fans, just watch, oh, The Nox -- see how close they sit? See the fond looks, the petty snarking? Slightly geeky but idealistic scientist/slightly abrasive but warm-as-a-puppy soldier? What's not to love?).

But when it comes to the fandom play over the latest episodes -- please excuse my nose-prints on the windows. I'm locked out, and there's nothing I can do about it.
