Beg Me For It soundtrack - uploading songs

Okay, I have 18 more songs to upload and the Beg Me For It soundtrack will be ready.

Because of the questionable ethics of making music publicly available for download I'm going to lock the soundtrack post to just my flist. If you want access to the files another way, email me at icarus_ancalion@yahoo.com and I'll work something out. I already have one person without an LJ account who's asked.

Now, regarding friending: normally I friend everyone who friends me. But LJ will only allow me to friend 31 more and I have 53 52 people I haven't friended since July (sorry, started new job and online time was cut severely).

I feel bad about this, I want to friend everyone back especially given the soundtrack, but I can't do anything about LJ's f-list limitations.

Comment here if you want me to friend you back. Bear in mind I never lock fics and pretty much don't lock anything. I'm thinking most people are just here for the stories and generally disinterested in anything else, which is totally cool.

I really don't mind either way - I like reading your lj posts, but I rarely comment (:D)- sorry 'bout that. So as long as I get to read your posts, it's fine with me. But do what works for you.

(Ah! Now I get it! I was wondering what the list was about. Confused for a bit I used to be "frogslayr"; so you were one of the first people I friended last May in 2004 when I first got the LJ)

As for friending back and stuff - Don't worry about me. If someone else has more Stargate or Ron centered LJs, you'll probably find them more interesting to friend back and read. :D

Yeah, I don't lock anything. But I'm mostly concerned that I've been pitching this soundtrack for weeks (okay, bitching about) and now I'm locking it so the people who might be interested won't have access to it.

I'll do a post with the playlist and no download links so people who aren't on the flist can either track the songs down on their own or work out an alternate solution.

wildernessguru is still giving me shit about "Dancing Days," says it doesn't fit the scene with Draco teaching Ron to dance. He says Bennie Benassi's "Satisfaction" is better, but it sounds too much like a German discoteque.

It's the last sticking point and I'm ready to just upload both, neither of which quite work. Hee. I mean, it has to have an easy obvious dance beat, fast enough to wear them out, slow enough for a beginning dancer, be funky enough to stand up to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. WG says I really need some inner city black music but hell if I know any.

Well, there's not much in my journal to read so you are not likely to miss so many things even if you don't friend me. I have only one fic this far and if you are interested in reading it, here's the link . Of course it would be an honour to be deemed worth friending, but I honestly think that my LJ ain't worth it :/ And I don't really need an access to the soundtrack, I don't have any suitable means for listening to it, anyway... as long as I can read your fics, I'm quite happy :)

Worth friending? *curses LJ's friendslist limitations again* I read my flist at random and follow no one on a regular basis, just dipping randomly into 719 lives. In this fast series of snapshots, everyone is interesing and unique and it's a curious experience, catching just a brief whiff of each life before vanishing. I rarely comment even when someone does appear in the flood. There is no such thing as worthy or unworthy. *friends*

See that's why I curse the friendslist limitation on LJ -- not interested? Man....

I use LJ as a kind of bulletin board (if you look carfully you can see the thumbtacks). So I friend people to post the bulletin board in as public a place as possible. As for reading my f-list, I skim the list, all of it, without using a filtered list (except I have an authors' list for fics I'm following and waiting for updates). This means I dip in at random and could be reading any one of 719 journals. It's a strange experience, since I never know from day to day who will turn up. I almost never comment. So there's no one who's uninteresting, I don't approach LJ like that.

Hello! It's just by chance that I happened to see this post, as I've been very busy with RL lately and have not been on much lately.

I just wanted to say that it's all good either way whether you want to friend me or not (if you have any LotR interest, I would recommend friending, but otherwise, meh, I'm boring) - I'm here for the fics, but unfortunately I just haven't gotten around to reading them yet! *LoL* As I said, RL and all that. I have every good intention of reading them eventually, though, and I'm great with feedback for things I like.
