Chocolate Pudding and Percy
Jun. 12th, 2003 08:06 pmI'm a cooking fiend this week. I've made soup stock from scratch, spagetti sauce from scratch, my own pizza dough, and - you guessed it - sauce and thus pizza from scratch. An ultra-hot thai dish two nights ago.
Did you know mayonaise is just egg yolk, oil and a little mustard, lemon and vinegar? And a hell of a lot of stirring. Shit, I stirred through two episodes of That 70's Show, Enterprise, and Law and Order before I was finally done.
But now I know how to make mayonaise.
Tonight: I'm making chocolate mousse, from a half-remembered recipe. Hey, I had the egg whites left over from Mayo, right?
I have an idea for a Harry/Percy story. Of all things.

Date: 2003-06-13 06:13 am (UTC)I'd love to see Percy's canon bossiness and pomposity (and being a stickler for the rules) be used in a story, *and* for him to be a top ... that would be hilarious.
Here's a really good Ron-centric story that I thought you might like: ‘Screwed’ by Slytherlynx. Damn you all, you might convert me to liking Ron yet.

Date: 2003-06-15 04:35 pm (UTC)I started writing the Percy story, and it shook my Muse loose. Hooray! I discovered that I've been spending too much time on the fandom, and not enough time with pencil in hand, writing. I just didn't realize it, because I used to have unlimited time (i.e., was out of work).

More Percy stories! More officious Weasley bossiness and pompous asides! More boy-in-hornrims goodness!
