I'm a cooking fiend this week. I've made soup stock from scratch, spagetti sauce from scratch, my own pizza dough, and - you guessed it - sauce and thus pizza from scratch. An ultra-hot thai dish two nights ago.

Did you know mayonaise is just egg yolk, oil and a little mustard, lemon and vinegar? And a hell of a lot of stirring. Shit, I stirred through two episodes of That 70's Show, Enterprise, and Law and Order before I was finally done.

But now I know how to make mayonaise.

Tonight: I'm making chocolate mousse, from a half-remembered recipe. Hey, I had the egg whites left over from Mayo, right?

I have an idea for a Harry/Percy story. Of all things.

Funny, I was just thinking about Percy, as I was finding rare (and medium rare) slash stories to rec, and there are some great Percy/insert male object of desire stories out there. And your great Snape/Percy one is one of my absolute favourites: I didn't rec it, but you know that I love it boundlessly and will rec it when I do a huge round up of all your work.

I'd love to see Percy's canon bossiness and pomposity (and being a stickler for the rules) be used in a story, *and* for him to be a top ... that would be hilarious.

Here's a really good Ron-centric story that I thought you might like: ‘Screwed’ by Slytherlynx. Damn you all, you might convert me to liking Ron yet.

I've read 'Screwed'! And liked it. And reviewed it (con-crit, I wanted her to present a case how Harry and Ron would fall out of sync in the first place). I'm not convinced, but I liked her story anyway. Gah. I can still see that scene with the stuff leaking out of Ron. It's both hot and gross.

I started writing the Percy story, and it shook my Muse loose. Hooray! I discovered that I've been spending too much time on the fandom, and not enough time with pencil in hand, writing. I just didn't realize it, because I used to have unlimited time (i.e., was out of work).

I can see your point, but I liked the ambiguity of the story. I thought that Ron in canon was often a little clueless about emotions and motivations, so that didn't bother me. People drift apart.

But I thought that in the story something had happened to harry, anyway, something that he couldn't talk about on a literal or personal level, and that was fine, too.

More Percy stories! More officious Weasley bossiness and pompous asides! More boy-in-hornrims goodness!
