I have a confession. I watched Stargate: Atlantis this weekend.

And I liked it.

But who can resist when Shep gives a disingenuous grin and says, "Guess how we tested [the shield device on Rodney]?"

Rodney beams smugly.

"I shot him," Shep says, pleased as punch.

Boys.

Okay, it's cheesy and cheaply done. It's not Stargate, not by a long shot. But it was schmaltzy fun.

SG-1 and SGA are, indeed, almost completely different shows (like, they are different shows, only they exist in the same universe). But both are good in their own right. SGA gets better, it gets way better. Give it time.

*grins*loves both shows like two highly spoiled nephews*

Everyone tells me that by episode 11 the quality shoots way up. Which is good, because I'm going to take a lot of flak from WG over the military inaccuracies. (He delights in SG-1's fine military detail.)

Yep. Though everything works in fanfic. At first you can blame that sort of awkwardness the actors/characters had between each other as just getting to know one another.
Before you realize it you're squealing like the mad fangirl you are over every little thing. You can never see it coming.

Heh, that is so true. I went straight from 'Um... why does everyone like this so much' to 'How did I spend *all night* catching up on episodes and squealing over the slashiness'. Then I had to apologise to my f-list...

SGA does get better in season two, I must admit. And there are more scenes of boy-ishness, which are very appealing. *g*

Too sweet. And I can so see the slash.

Plus - *Icarus sets down the remote* - it's the only thing on Saturday night and I have no life. Even if it sucked I'd still be watching.

BWAHA!

That is the first ep of SG:A I ever saw, the one that made me think, "Hey, I might actually like this."

"In the leg!"

Yeah. It was Hide and Seek that got me convinced of McKay/Sheppard.

But it's an adorable moment, isn't it?

They're both so cute that I just want to hug them and squeeze them and call them George.

I've never seen it.

Though now that I have TV access again, I may have to look for it. Then again, there is so much I have to do, day in and day out.

Yippee! //claps hands excitedly// Stick with it; it gets better and better. I found that for me it bogged down terribly about the middle of Season One, and I almost gave up on it. But then it started picking up steam, and now I...//looks around to see if anyone else is listening//...love it more than I love Stargate at the moment. Shhh, don't tell Jack.

And the thought of the possibility of some SGA slash from you makes me very happy indeed!

It is, isn't it? I do like it a lot, but as you said, it's not Stargate. Still fun, though. There is such a lot of hoyay on this show, too.
