Would you like to listen to some slash read to you in a soft sexy male baritone?

My voice isn't appropriate for most of my stories (except for First Signs Of Magic) but wildernessguru just volunteered to record some fics. Yes!

Could anyone tell me:

a) what PC software I need to record these? It needs to be compatible with an older system running Win98. And

b) if you any recommendations for mics, I would love to hear it.

In the meantime... which stories would you enjoy hearing?

ETA: Someone mentioned it, so I should clarify. Primer to the Dark Arts would have to be read by me. wildernessguru has given me a page-count limit of 20 printed pages. So with Beg Me For It he'd only be reading the first, and most popular, part.

That's a real shame about Audacity!!
I couldn't test it either, since I run XP but since it said so on their website... *sigh*

Trust is good. My headset was about € 10 so not bad at all and everyone I talk to while using it can hear me okay... It would be a shame to have to spend more.. At least, that's my opinion :D

I think it's more the system requirements that are doing me in. My laptop is old, and Win98 was an upgrade for it.

Someone just suggested this (http://nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html) so I'm checking it out.

Yee-ha! This seems to work. I need a mic to test, but I can get that today. *rubs hands together* This is gonna be fun.
