I'm listed next to the utterly brilliant 'Mirror of Maybe', my all-time favourite somnisperus's 'Tea Series', the gut-wrenching wikdsushi's 'Civil War' verse, miraminx 'Lost Feeling' series (gosh, when I started reading Harry/Snape I gobbled up everything of hers), beside Jade whom I mostly know from the 'Boozefest', and cybelesan's mesmerizingly cathartic 'If You Are Prepared.'

Well, did you ever do the SnapexHarryML chats, way back (relatively) when Obscurus modded? The only new fics we had to talk about were yours and the Paradox of Existence. So, for a lot of "new" fans (*cough* me *cough*) you were the biggest story out when we started reading. Perhaps it's there in homage of that...

Or just maybe 'cause it's good. Can't forget that. ;)

Oh, is *that* why Obscurus kept sending people to me to beta read? I kept getting these emails begging me to beta, and people were treating me like I was Cassandra Claire or something... "If you would deign to read my lowly fic... Obscurus sent me to thy temple..." (okay, I'm exaggerating here). I'd read, and re-read, thinking WTF? And respond I'd be happy to beta, I'm nothing special just a Joe-blow fanfic writer no doubt your story's a hundred times better than anything I'd write please-let-go-of-the-hem-of-my-wizard-robes-I'm-not-wearing-anything-underneath-and-you're-pulling-them-off.

Wow. That explains it. I miss Obscurus frankly, and sorry she got blasted. Being a moderator is hard.

Yeah, I miss her too. We had fun Meyers-Briggs Personality Indicator discussions. (Remember those? I think we settled on Harry-INFP, Sev-INTP.) Ah, those were the days. lol.

The speed with which you are remembered is the speed with which you are forgotten. Always remember that. I am new to the fanfic world, but I think I've written 25 stories and 27 chapters of Primer to the Dark Arts in less than eight months. So that's probably part of it.
