Good news about WG's mom
Apr. 19th, 2006 06:03 pmGood news from the PET scan:
wildernessguru's mom doesn't have anything more than what they originally discovered. It wipes a real worry from the doctors' lists.
Tomorrow she goes in for surgery on three cancerous growths in her stomach. They're going to leave all the major organs alone even though one of her two kidneys is shot. They can't operate on the cancer in her liver of course so that they will treat with chemo, giving it a direct dose while she's under the knife tomorrow, and then having chemo sessions every three weeks for a period of time.
The family's joking about having WG donate his hair for a wig.
I don't know if this changes her overall prognosis, but hey, good news is good news.
Totally out of the blue but related, believe me:
Does anyone here know of some arch-conservative, Republican, Wall Street Journal-type, liberal-hating forums where reasonably intelligent (if incredibly conservative) people of an adult nature hang out?
I have a reason for this.
