Okay, this weekend I cranked out almost all of the next chapter of Beg Me For It -- nope, not SNAFU, though it was originally going to be part of SNAFU.

As it worked out, the tone of the first part was so different from SNAFU, I've taken it and made it a separate chapter. Now just have one little section just before the end to play with (trying to fit too much in, I just know it). All you Percy-lovers (and new converts)... it has more Percy.

So now, in the Beg Me For It series we have:

A darkfic non-con (liberally sprinkled with humour) - Ron's POV
A PWP Humour - Ron's POV
A dark filk (angst) - Ron/Draco/Percy's POV
An action/adventure - Ron/Draco's POV
A wistful review - Ron's POV
A shamelessly romantic story - Ron's POV

Now, now, don't think I'm not writing SNAFU. I just had to cut it in half. I can't wait to work on it again tonight. *hops up and down*

Another positive note: they have chocolate at the office.

Dark stuff there. I didn't remember that part. I remember something about itchy feet and fading smiles . . . That's always been one of my favorites on the Wall, and though it's been a while, I used to listen to that album pretty regularly (and of course saw the movie too many times - I have the image of that sausage machine forever implanted in my brain. Yuck.) I think my favorite song on the album has to be Run Like Hell, though my answer might vary depending on the day (And if you take your girlfriend out tonight you better park your car well out of sight cause if they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks they're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box you better run).

Okay, enough of that!

"Hey you.
Out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you hear me?

Hey you. Standing in the aisles
with itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you hear me?

Hey you, don't help them to bury the liiiiiiiight.
Don't give in,
Without a fight."

It's just perfect for them working for the Death Eaters and some of the decisions they face, especially Percy. The next story covers 'a day in the life' and what it's like at the Death Eater-run Ministry.

I still can't figure out that line:

"Hey you.
I’m dead beyond the wall,
buried treasure(?) in the hall.
Can you help me?"

I'm really stuck on that one. Do you know it?

Another favourite on that album:

There is no pain you are receiving... Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying... I. Have become. Comfortably numb.

My brother's paranoid schizophrenic (with an ironic sense of humour about it on his better days), and he loves that 'Crazy' song, what was it?

Okay, I found a great site with lyrics to all the Pink Floyd songs ever here (http://www.geocities.com/kavehmv/main.htm). It looks like the stanza is:
Hey you,
Out there beyond the wall
Breaking bottles in the hall
Can you help me.

Not sure what the "crazy" song is. There's so many that could fit that description. Maybe it's One of My Turns:
Day after day, love turns grey
Like the skin of a dying man.
Night after night, we pretend its all right
But I have grown older and
You have grown colder and
Nothing is very much fun any more.
And I can feel one of my turns coming on.
I feel cold as a razor blade,
Tight as a tourniquet,
Dry as a funeral drum.

Run to the bedroom,
In the suitcase on the left
You'll find my favorite axe.
Don't look so frightened
This is just a passing phase,
One of my bad days.
Would you like to watch T.V.?
Or get between the sheets?
Or contemplate the silent freeway?
Would you like something to eat?
Would you like to learn to fly?
Would'ya?
Would you like to see me try?

Would you like to call the cops?
Do you think it's time I stopped?
Why are you running away?

Oh, I love that - "dry as a funeral drum"

And I'd forgotten about In the Flesh:
Are there any queers in the theater tonight?
Get them up against the wall!
There's one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me,
Get him up against the wall!

Oh, and Young Lust, another of my faves:
Will some cold woman in this desert land
Make me feel like a real man?

This is fun! It's like a return to my misspent youth!

Oh, thank you. You shall get credited in the A/N for the help.

That's not the song, but I'll put the album on tonight to finish the story, and then I'll figure it out. It's on 'The Wall.'
