Once again, Bush has proposed massive cuts to NPR and PBS. This financial strangulation of the media has got to stop.


We've stopped similar cuts in the past, but enough is enough: With the new Congress, we can make sure this never happens again.

We need Congress to save NPR and PBS once and for all.

My dad emailed me this link to a You-Tube video, a 'tribute' to ex-Governor Murkowski, who among other foibles apparently couldn't resist a bargain for a personal Governor's jet while in office. The new Governor, Sarah Palin, put it up on eBay. Said circumstances have been commented on profusely.

Finally! I thought I was the only one who was into NPR. I am constatntly called a geek because I like to be informed about the world. Maybe this time the bandwagon will really take hold.

Oh yeah, we listen to NPR all the time. Those familiar trumpets for "All Things Considered" always make me smile. The news is far more thorough than the infotainment you find everywhere else.

Well, GRRRR!! I did not know this, being down with the flu for a week and still worn out from it. I can't watch or listen to news or current events when I'm sick, it makes me too depressed.

Thanks for the link. I'm so sick of hearing that NPR and PBS aren't getting enough federal funding, and I wish I had the money to give them big donations. There's so much I would have missed without PBS especially.

And this is yet another reason for me to be disgruntled at GW Bush - possibly the most incompetent president ever.
