Well. I've made some progress on that Supernatural Sam/Transvestite story.

[livejournal.com profile] perfica and I might have worked out the next parts of Out Of Bounds. I think. Now it's just a matter of letting the ink flow.

I'm really frustrated with my writing output right now. I have time. It should be pumping. But instead I'm at a trickle.

What the hell's wrong with me?

I promise to finish it.

Today's work... involved a blowjob. And Sam trying to psychoanalyze a transvestite who's much more interested in, well, Sam.

Very common, unfortunately. :/ It happens to me all the time, and yeah, it's incredibly frustrating. I've heard the same thing from other writers in the past, that when they have huge blocks of absolutely free time to write, they dry up. More than one person has said that they were more productive when they had full-time jobs and had to fight for scraps of time than they were when they were on vacation or got laid off or had retired. I don't know -- the brain being stubborn and contrary maybe? :P

I guess that when you're not busy the mind returns to its natural vegetative state. Maybe the boys at Nanowrimo have it right? A deadline is the antidote?

Deadlines definitely help me be more productive. [nod] And I actually "won" NaNo when I tried it for the first time last year, which shocked my shoes off, LOL! So, yeah, that could be one answer.

Didn't you have a similar issue after the end of last quarter?

Keeping fingers crossed that "Out of Bounds" will be smooth(er) sailing now :-)
I so LOVE this story, it has re-ignited my love of skating. Thank you for that!!

Too many things going at once or just the school thing sucking all the life out of you? I'd bet the latter.

Meant to write back and say, Eeeee! Zelenka has a girlfriend is an excellent idea, but did I read right and did you imply she was putting on a uniform?

Nice and it proves he doesn't have it in for everyone in the military...I sent you off a long and rambling thing earlier too.

What is wrong with you? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if you are going to share the Sam/Transvestite story with the world. *hopping in chair thinking about more Out of Bounds*

Deadlines work wonders for me, as does busyness when I need to increase my output (the NaNoWriMo guys definitely have that right). I signed on for the Heroes Big Boom, and now find myself with just over a month to crank out 20,000+ words. Motivated? Oh hell yes. (I'm also adapting "Amelie" for the reel_spn challenge. Wish me luck in getting it all done, and it actually being any good. I haven't written any fiction since high school, many many moons ago.)
