Do I have a challenge for you. anotheratlantis is open for prompts and sign-ups as we speak. The wilder, the wackier, the better. You know it's an SGA tradition.

I'm a little late to pimp this one, but! For those of you who'd like to see more solid -- let's call it "classic" -- episode-based Atlantis fic, there is (drumroll please): the second annual atlantisbasics.

Hey. If I were to do a write-up to capture the first year of Atlantis fics like this one I did for 2006, what stories and themes do you think should be covered?

Ok, I know this isn't the point of your post, but I have to ask you what Czech rock you're listening to. I've gotten all in to Gogol Bordello, which is gypsy rock(in case you didn't know, which you probably did, if you're listeng to Chech rock), and I like some German rock, and of course there's Flogging Molly for the irish rock, but I haven't been able to further expand my horizons a whole lot past that, so I'm definitely interested! If it's anything like Czech porn, I'll be hooked at first listen!

I'm listening to Malá Dáma by Kabátä. And these Czechs have been holding out on me. I've been trying to download something with the name Gogol Bordello but I keep getting cut off. I am now even more enthusiastic about downloading it. Do you have any specific song recommendations?

hee! I'm pretty sure that Bel Ami gets their boys mostly from Prague, which makes me want to go there and stand in the middle of the street and go "where do you make the porn?" If you haven't yet experienced Bel Ami, I can 100% recommend Personal Trainers #7. It convinced me that yes, porn can actually be art. And I have three gay friends who've assured me that yes, in fact, it *is* the best gay porn tape ever made. Aaaand it just occurs to me that you might be a straight man, in which case I totally apologize. Seriously!

On Gogol Bordello, I think that "Start Wearing Purple" is probably their most listenable, but most of Gypsy Punks is pretty good. My favorite is track 12, "Illumination", and second is track 2, "I would never want to be young again". If you can't get those, go to their website, which is part of www.sideonedummy.com, and there's a video of Start Wearing Purple and a free download of another song from Gypsy Punks, "Not a Crime" (also good, but not, IMO, as good as the other ones). And if I can figure out how to send things (am not the most brilliant at that, sorry!!), I can yousendit those tracks to you. :)

Okay. Let me finish writing that scene of Out Of Bounds and then I'll post it tonight. I can't remember if you follow any of my SGA fics or not, we met over the FanLib and Strikethrough stuff, but I'm posting music with most of the chapters of that WIP (with is a Stargate Atlantis figure skating AU, of all the oddest things).
