The vote was marginally in favor of larger pieces, which surprised me. I figured everyone would want more, more, more, now, now.
I've posted it in small pieces in the past to keep myself motivated and moving forward on the story. A chunk posted makes me feel like I'm making progress.
Let's face it. Completed stories are for the readers. WIPs are a special torment that could only have been invented for the benefit of the writer -- something wetolerate understand in fandom because we're all writers here. (And also we get free porn. *g*)
Now, there's music for most sections, so I can't post in one large piece because the songs'll get mixed together. So based on my outline, the next six scenes would be posted in... four parts. *eyeroll* *snorts* Oh, that makes a huge difference.
On top of everything, John just threw me another curveball. (This man is frustrating. How does he have a sex life at all--oh. Right. He doesn't.) I'm worried if I wait for that next major crux, nothing'll happen.
So. Since I'm stuck anyway right now, I'm kicking these out the door as they come. Then once the story is moving again, I'll stop posting and write.
How's that? We'll just put the story first.
