It's very yay-worthy. I'd gotten my fingers on the preview version without all the music and sound effects and stuff a couple of days ago and it's quite interesting to see where the emphasis of the ep differs but generally I think I like this season premier best so far.

I have not peeked behind any spoiler cuts since I haven't finished downloading (and won't for a woefully long time), but all the cut tags seem uniformly happy.

I'm presently willing my download to speed up. It isn't working.

I don't think one kps faster really counts as faster. The universe continues to ignore my orders. Small wonder I find myself destroying it in fiction.

I've given up and started downloading one of the massive files in four parts. That'll take... *checks watch* ...till sometime Sunday night.

C'est la vie. *gets one kps faster, too, so this may be the maximum effect of will -- should we both try at the same time? Recruit friends?*

Well, we could do that (recruit friends) or consider getting faster connections. But everytime I consider it I just can't justify the expense. Also, I know if I ever did have a fast connection, I'd never be happy again without it.

Sunday, hunh? We'll be watching at about the same time then.

I keep prodding dialup_friendly in hopes that a dialup version might appear, but so far no dice.

When I way the cost of my dial up (free) vs. paying large sums of money? Even if I weren't a poor, struggling college student I'd have a hard time justifying it.

We shall schedule our squee at 1am Monday then.

I was very pleasantly surprised by it, and there are some lovely bits for just about any ship you might follow. The only bits that bothered me (and I'll be vague so as not to spoil), actually, where the parts with Carter - I felt like they were just jammed into the story and could have been left out (except for explaining how she gets there).

I've had such low expectations, the happiness (and surprise) has come as welcome relief.

I'll bet she was written into the script after the fact, so that the seams show.
