FOX creating new episodes without the writers.

Holy fucking cow.

I don't give a flip about Family Guy, I've never even watched the show. But Fox is producing fresh episodes of its animated comedy Family Guy without theparticipation of its striking creator Seth MacFarlane, who does many of the main voices.

HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

You know, Fox is really racing to cement itself as the most fucked up, asinine, flat out ridiculous network out there. Their practices make no sense and destroy any chance they might have of surviving on more than American Idol. I count my stars they allowed House and Bones to show pretty much unimpeded.

In most animation, they record the voices, then do all the in-betweens (most of the animating). They need to do the voices first so they can time it, and make the animation fit the sound (mouths moving and etc.) It sounds like these three or so episodes were close to being finished - they'd definitely had the voices already done. So that's how they're doing it.
