President Bush, "trying for peace."
Nov. 27th, 2007 04:31 pmIt's not as though it doesn't make for a nice change. Hey, if this were the plan from the get-go, I'd have been all for it.
But am I the only person who thinks it hilarious that George Bush is trying to negotiate for peace in the Middle East?
How are they able to keep a straight face? Why hasn't he been stoned* yet?
I'm sure this is how Bush did his exams, too. "Whoops. Well, I've still got time to cram. Hey, 14 months. That's plenty."
* The small, throwable kind of stones. We know he's been the other kind of stoned, quite possibly for the last seven years.

Hours after opening a Mideast conference, President Bush said Tuesday he was worried about the consequences if the search for peace failed but declared, "It is worth it to try."
Bush cautioned it would take time for Israelis and Palestinians to reach an agreement. The goal is to reach an accord within 14 months by the end of Bush's presidency.
