The postponement of Six Apart's much awaited stock offering and the sudden inexplicable clean up -- yep. They had the For Sale By Owner sign out on the front lawn.

So glad I have journals in several other places. I'm not going anywhere -- hoping for better options.

Though now I'm a bit worried about the Russian LJ users, actually. They were awfully upset about some things that the russian company was doing/goin to do (maybe)

It's aggravating to move from one nethome to another, but if it spills over into seriou real life trouble, that's a different issue.

Huh. I expected LJ would be sold, but somehow I thought it would be sold to another US company. I hope this won't affect the rules negatively - I have no idea what Russian laws say about anything that's of interest to me, the only thing I *know* is that there's a lot of corruption around there.

I guess as a Finn a certain type of mistrust for Russia is ingrained in me (today, since it's after midnight already, Finland has been free of Russian rule for 90 years, not counting the areas we lost to them during World War II), but I'm trying give them the benefit of doubt for now. It doesn't come easy, even if I know perfectly well there are lots of fantastic people behind the border and some of them are even not-too-distant relatives of mine, but I'm trying. It's not exactly their fault that news usually cover only unpleasant things and leave everything good aside. It's not like the news coverage from USA is any more pleasant to read. It's just that Russia is the scary big neighbour who has different way of looking at things while USA is blessedly far away :P And I have no idea why I'm explaining this to here, it's not like it's all that closely related to your post ^.^ Guess I needed to get that off my chest and your entry happened to give me an excuse :P
