Christmas pressies for you. SGA rec.

Working on that Christmas scene for Out Of Bounds, a little thank you to the readers. And I had to explain Rodney's top hat somehow.
I've wrapped
wildernessguru's pressies though I've yet to decorate the tree. Yes, that's my job, no, he's only wants to hang tinsel which is a-okay with me. I'll have to disappear for a time (grocery shopping) while he wraps presentses.
In the meantime, you have to check out the incredible
sga_santa fic written for me.
Title: One Piece At A Time
Author: Santa
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Rating: PG
Recipient:
icarusancalion
Spoilers: All four seasons.
Summary: If one more scientist reported to work with that vaguely manic gleam in his eye, and the phrase "workbench jig" under his breath, Rodney was going to have to ban visits to Sheppard's little playground.
Author's Note: For Icarus, who asked for John and airplanes. Title from Johnny Cash. Thank you so much to
lunasky and
sheafrotherdon for betas. Big extra special thanks to
lunasky for hand-holding, inspiration, and beautiful manip!
( Sheppard was using the Tone of Extreme Patience. That usually came right before the eye tick. )
I love this story. It has aircraft, the author took the time to research how an airplane is built, gets the tools, the steps, then interweaves John and Rodney's slowly building relationship (did I mention that I adore clueless!Rodney?), has realistic action -- and wonderful, thoughtful observations about John Sheppard. Personally -- not that I'm biased or anything -- I think it's the best story in
sga_santa. Whoever wrote it... wow. Thank you.
Also,
lunasky, I love that photomanip. And I'm a photomanip snob.
I've wrapped
