What is it with Primer to the Dark Arts?

I wrote it in 2002, six years ago. (Oh my god, six years.) It's, um, very early work, writing-wise.

But-- it's still being favorited, friended, passed around, reviewed.

I love it. But I wonder what it is about that story.

So I can do it again. :D


Okay. Now I'm going to do homework. And write.

That's cool, that people still like it so much. :D I only wrote it about maybe two years ago, but for some reason Made With Our Love is the fic of mine that I just keep getting reviews for. And it's like barely 1,000 words, I think.

Isn't it great? Usually stories are like that sock at the bottom of a pile of laundry. Once buried, they're long forgotten.

So i hadn't read it and its not a fandom i've ever read and its a pairing that normally squicks me...

I've now been enlightened, transformed and converted! its an awesome fic - all the little quirks and touches are there that make it just like reading a HP novel with the added bonus of slash.

Huh. I just wrote what I wanted to read: a HP story with all the little magical details and humor -- with slash. And I was curious about the Dark Arts.

Well, it's the first fic of yours that I read, and it was good enough to make me decide to read your blog. So...

Most of all, I liked you characterization of snape. You didn't make him a bleeding hero nor a total bastard. Just intelligent, intense, selfish and kind of mean. Spot on. :)
