Up all night (I've got to stop doing this)...

Have written three fics for the RS.org sleazy fic drive.

http://www.snitchfiction.net/cgi-bin/stories/story.cgi?id=2067
'Sweet Hypocrisy.' A Snape/Percy. The plotline is a little obvious I think, and I'd like to tinker with it a bit more. But I did enjoy having Snape shock Percy time and time again.

"Who - why are you doing this to me?"
"Because I don't like you, Percy Weasley."

http://www.snitchfiction.net/cgi-bin/stories/story.cgi?id=2036
'Unexpected Guest.' Snape/Harry/Ron. Smut fest, with little point to it. It's been described as Snape/Harry/Ron, Harry/Ron, Ron/Harry, Harry/Snape, Snape/Harry, Snape/Ron, Ron/Snape. That about sums it up. Probably the worst story I've ever written to tell the truth.

http://www.snitchfiction.net/cgi-bin/stories/story.cgi?id=1925
'Hagrid's Hut.' Written for Moira McDuff, and for other reasons, posted on behalf of RS.org.

CLS beta'd the first three chapters to 'Primer to the Dark Arts.' This may actually get posted someplace other than ff.net after all. I've reviewed them, and it's not as bad as I feared. Some of Chapter 3: the Book of Eros was too hot for fictionalley (no surprise there, but I should have warned her), but her modliness was able to point out what could be changed to still the steam to an 'R' rating. Far fewer changes than I expected, just a few specifics need to be airbrushed.

'First Signs of Magic' series is teasing me in three parts. Draco. Hermione. Ron.
Rushlight's story is still waiting in the wings...
Terry Boot's story is still waiting...
Your Friendly Neighborhood Death-Eater is snogging and hexing, and being a delightful sociopathic bastard...

Responsibilites are starting to call my name. But I still have a little more time yet. Finish 'Primer' first. I've decided I like 'Primer's' light tone...

After the posts about the Restricted Section ... back to the original reasons that I found your site: the fiction!

I had to do a search + destroy mission for 'Primer', I'd read all your material at snitchfiction already and it wasn't there, as a. I liked everything I'd read, and b. I'd read recommenndations for it. So I foolishly did a web search that turned up freakish and useless things for any combination of Icarus, Primer, Dark Arts ... you can imagine. It *finally* hits me that I should look at fanfiction.net and sure enough, it's there.

I loved it! I had no idea that it was a Snape/Harry story, which is for some reason I can't fathom my favourite pairing (I'm not a big fan of canon!Snape ... ), and really don't like Ron/Harry, so it's probably clear that I was thrilled at the trajectory of the narrative. I loved your version of Harry and Snape, and their interaction was amazingly believable and in character. That's not a major concern for me, but it's great when an author maintains a link between the book version and their version, it just adds another layer of interest. I won't bore you by gushing here, I just wanted to say that I didn't think it needed all that much work. Well, not as much as you seem to be implying will be carried out.

At any rate, I hope that the revisions go well.

And would you mind if I gave you a big round of applause as well? I found your stuff on ff.net first, and after savoring all of the offerings there (I wasn't aware that "Primer" wasn't already tweaked to perfection; the characterization is seamless, the story engaging, and your innovations of magic- are you aware of how unfortunately lacking in "original" magic most HP fanfic is?- are inspirational. I'd love a ghost cat of my very own, not to mention a cursed harp) I somehow managed to wander in here and discover the listing your latest offerings on RS.org. They're all good, but that Percy one is sublime! I've read it three times now. If I were better at reviews, I'd be able to tell you what exactly I find so intriguing about it, but alas...

Thanks for some really great reading. I'll be greatly looking forward to devouring any future goodies you may be working on.

Laurel, thank you. You've inspired me to wrap up 'Primer' which has never been Beta'd, and post it at Snitchfiction, Walking the Plank (if Telanu still likes it) and FictionAlley. CLS, a Mod at FictionAlley and the very talented writer of 'Black Shadow' (she did extensive research in motorcycles for it, and her OCs are excellent). We've gone through the first seven chapters so far. CLS is great. She's a very talented Beta, knows what to leave alone.

I really liked getting to know Percy.

Brodie! Wow. I'm floored and gratified by your words, and, okay, I tend to be a little rough on my writing. I can't tell you how much it meant to read this, I was very concerned about the characterisation actually.

Okay, I can't think of any other thanks, except a story for you. Any pairing, any scenario, your name in lights in the comments section. Just let me know what you want, and Merry Christmas.

Hello,
I tried to post a response yesterday, only I forgot to click 'anonymous' so the livejournal ate my message :( ... At any rate, I'll try again:

*blushing with gratitude*

thanks for offering to write a story for me, that's the coolest response I've ever had when praising work that deserved it. I'm so thrilled. Any pairing? At all? Well ... my instainct is to go with Harry/Severus, but you've done that and I don't want you to be bored, so anything you like (as long as it's not het, *please*, or features Ron as an object of desire, heh heh).

Have fun,
brodie

Naughtiness on its way. GredonForge, anyone? Or would you prefer more Percy?
