wildernessguru wants to watch the episode where John has that stilted conversation with Teyla ("that was sweet"). The thing is, I can't even remember what season that was, let alone what episode.

Which episode has that conversation between John and Teyla?

As a side note, if you try googling SGA, John, Teyla and emotions, you get...well, a heck of a lot more het (and smooshy het, at that) then I've seen in quite a while.

Well, I have to admit that I didn't actually click on any of the links, but from what google showed me, my guess would be no, not quite so much with the good het. I fully admit that some of it is just that I can't see John/Teyla no matter which way I turn my head, but there were some...interesting snippets. Let's see if I can find some that I saw earlier.

Well, goodness knows you could never find any descriptions like that for John/Rodney fic! Slash is just so much higher and nobler and purer!

It is in "Sateda," one of those weird awkwardly-written things they did in S3 to try to make the team seem more bonded. Apparently they had some trouble figuring out how, you know, people who are friends would actually talk to and act with each other, so you got those bizarre anvils in between the occasional very good moment (still love the end of "McKay & Mrs. Miller" where the rest of the team tells obvious horrible lies about how much they didn't like Rod to make Rodney feel better about himself).

Oh, I know - I've read descriptions of slash fic that were much, much more cringe-worthy than these. Part of it was that I was *completely* not expecting to see any links about fic - het, slash, or otherwise - since I was looking for an episode description, and part of it is that to me, John and Teyla's relationship seems so sibling-like that any description of them wanting to be intimate with each other just seems off.
