Okay, the new version of Firefox keeps crashing. It resulted in a lost scene for Out Of Bounds (which doesn't seem to be in my c:/windows/temp folder).

That's unacceptable.

Does anyone know how to uninstall Firefox and put in the older version? The new version crashes daily and six times on Saturday.

You can download the latest version of Firefox 2 here (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html). Download it, then uninstall FF3, then install FF2 again. This should maintain all your old settings. Sorry for your trouble!

Ick. Guess I'll keep hitting "later" on the install pop up until they work that bug out.

Not sure about installing the old version, but you can get instructions to uninstall here (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstall_firefox). I don't know if you would lose your bookmarks though...

Bah.

I'm not having any trouble with FF3 (I have it on my pathetic home comp, but keep forgetting to DL it on my robust work one), but also wonder if whatever the conflict is for you (I'd guess there's some sort of drama between it and something else on your machine, but I don't know how to troubleshoot that very well) is addressed by the update (3.0.1) that just notified me of itself half an hour ago.

So, if you can't make FF2 reinstall, that might be another thought?

That's a good idea.

The other possible cause could be the del.icio.us plug in. Maybe that's screwing Firefox up.

I have FF3, and works like a charm to me. I adore it, as it use way less recurses than FF2 did. And I can told you, is not del.icio.us, as I have it, too.
I think it possible it has some conflict with another Net based software, or maybe your anti virus.
Install the new version is a good advice.
If it didn't works to you either, and yet you want to go back to FF2, [livejournal.com profile] zoniduck option is the best.
Hope it works fine!

I'm thinking about going back myself, although my complaint is it overloads my CPU and sloooooows down to a crawl when I have more than 3 or so tabs open. Very irritating. Although I've had trouble with the Adblock add-on before, I may try disabling that and see if that helps anything.

Or I could try Opera. I hear that rocks.

Oh, can PC users get Opera? I loved it at the office where they had Macs.

Oh sure. I actually have it installed, I just haven't gotten around to trying it out.

Mine was doing that so I removed all my extensions. It perfect after that ... so I added all my extensions one by one and in groups of two and and and ... It was a clash between Gmail login thingy and a bookmark add-on that was causing it. All perfect now :D.

Ahhh. I'm going to put Firefox up against the wall deal with this over the weekend. Which is--oh. Tomorrow. Yes.

for lost documents, also look in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp

Thank you. I'll check again. What I did was run a search for every file named "Temp" and checked them all.
