Ron is perfectly happy in the empty life he’s made for himself, until Draco Malfoy takes one look at him and understands the things Ron fears even better than he himself does. Beautiful World by starflowers: Draco is afraid of living and Harry is afraid of dying, but sometimes the choice isn't offered. Draco's got to learn what it is to really live, while showing Harry how beautiful the world really is when you're not too scared to see it.

Chronicles of Lucius by Fyre: Involves dumbblond!Lucius and his diary, roughly in the same timeframe as CoS. Daily reports of Hair, Evil Glare, Robes, and Arse are a must, and endlessly amusing. Also details Lucius's long-standing urge for a Porsche, his control of the school board through his cane--which he has, and they do not--and his attempts to not look into Draco's obsession with "Pot-Boy" and phallic symbols.

Extra bunny - a clear period and ritual to the courtship, with the rival managing smoothly while Snape's gestures all appear to fall flat. Of course, our Harry is a better judge of character than that..."
