From [livejournal.com profile] squishtoy:

Well, if I'm bummed out, at least I can do something for world. Donating clean water by playing a game? I can do that. [livejournal.com profile] squishtoy did much better than I did (I didn't realize that you had to put the flag not just in the right country, but near the city they give you -- and then I did worse when I started doing that, ha). WG is going to blow this game away. He can list all those countries in Africa.

Though I'm quite proud I nailed Thimphu, Bhutan. (Psst. It's tiny and next to Nepal.)

african countries destroyed me in my first round, along with the central asian 'stan' countries. still, water! :)

I get the 'stans by random guesses, but WG gave me a crash course in northern Africa. And I can get Sierra Leone! Woo!

Australia's a dead loss for me. Sydney's about all I know.

Thanks for the link - I hadn't had that much fun on the computer for a while!

I've been having a blast with this, even though I don't see how anyone can donate cups of water. :D

I was trying for 500 cups and then my browser crashed. Damn.

This exercise has proven to me that my African and Australian geography SUCK. And that I think Santa Fe is somewhere in southern California.

Wildernessguru scored 368 in one session of this thing.

He rocks on Africa and the most obscure places. East Timor? Samoa? Belize? Swaziland?

We both get killed on Australia.

Belize I could probably get. East Timor, maybe. Samoa would require some wild stabbing in the Pacific. Swaziland, inevitably, would be a Wrong.

I couldn't believe I got the Seychelles. I gibbered, clicked somewhere in the ocean...and got a 10. I should have screencapped that one, I'll never find 'em again. *grin*

Unfortunately, I don't remember. I just scored 325 on Super-hard, but that wasn't my highest. My highest was 450-mumble.

Australia kicked my ass. And I don't don't know the difference between Algeria and Albania.

Algeria's bigger and farther south of Greece.

I was astonished that I didn't mix up Macedonia and Albania. I knew they were both north of Greece, so I panicked and clicked randomly both times, and both times managed to hit the correct square millimeter of country on the map. I don't know how I did it.

Ok, that game was really addicting. I am clueless regarding African geography. I also apparently have no idea where anything in Canada is located . . .

Here's another addicting game: http://www.freerice.com/
