Ron: Well it'd take a lot more than ha ha to make that funny right now. In fact, ouch.

Percy: I can't seem to successfully tell a joke. I can say the exact same things as Fred and George and they get a laugh, while people get upset with me. I never offend Aubric, but well, he looks at me like I'm speaking some foreign gibberish. But I do have a sense of humour. And that was funny, what I meant was...

And is it all Percy spills and Ron sits there listening? Drinking steadily I would imagine after the first few minutes, and probably wondering if Percy needs him to say something he doesn't know how to say.

Nah, they both ramble, complain about their jobs, laugh, toast to bosses who are complete assholes, and asshole instructors! Screw 'em all!

ROn would really really like that.

Ron partly feels he's got it under control, if Malfoy's fair he thinks he's memorised everything they have to know. But, Malfoy might not be fair. He might be Snape-like.

Does Percy have any advice? In this state?

Percy has lots of embarrassing Draco-baby stories, even saw photo albums of naked baby pictures.

Percy tells him that he can't speak for Draco, he doesn't know him. But while Lucius expected absolute perfection, he was always polite, and always fair. On his own terms.

Check the Author community. I put a post there with the details, what Percy does and doesn't spill. Let me know if we need to tell Ron less (I think we might, depends on where you want to go with Ron.) The general picture is that Ron should have a clearer idea of Percy's ethics in the matter, with Percy calling it off and why.
