*That* dance.

hp_dungeons fans. Here is the explanation you've been waiting for -
- what the heck did Percy and Harry *do* to get all that attention?
"Harry dances with Tonks and Hermione, because he's out and he's got all this worried/nervous/frantic energy to burn off and he knows he can pull them out onto the dance floor easily. Then Tonks sees a guy that strikes her as being Harry's "type" and she goads him into asking him for a dance. Which he does. He comes back, has a few drinks, chats a bit, then, still unable to sit in his seat without twitching about, he decides to ask Percy to dance (since Tonks and Hermione are deep in conversation and Ron..well...you know. He doesn't dare).
Percy is startled, but too polite to say no. He glances around the club, and since there are other men dancing together, he just nods around the lump in his throat.
From his perspective, in the sexual arena, Harry runs with the rich and famous. He's the sort that others crowd around at the bar, while Percy's more of a hanger-on that's crowded out. This type doesn't pay him any attention. He's be blown away, not just because it's Harry Potter.
It turns out to be a slow, teasing, sensual dance with more body contact than is strictly necessary. A lot more. Since Harry's been reading Percy's kinky posts, he knows he can get away with this - Percy's been a casual toy for more than one person. He's right. Percy's out of the habit of taking relationships with men personally, and he's caught up in Harry's jet stream, reacts physically and goes along with in a sort of starry-eyed, bemused way. Watching and following him every inch of the way. Fascinated. He totally loses track of the outside world.
Harry could use a dance like that to begin with. He's confused about Mikhail, guilty about Ron, and by this point he's had a few drinks. Not to mention, Harry has a real need to be touched. He obviously never got physical expressions of love as a child and now his skin craves it. Plus he's a very tactile person anyway.
So all it took was a brush or two against Percy, and he gave in. And Percy responded the way he's been conditioned to…
The moment Harry brushed against him Percy didn't even startle. That is very different from most people. But he knows not to, that's part of his background (something he's best at, keeping level when caught off guard); you don't insult the Dom by pulling away, even if they surprise you, which they constantly do. He attuned himself to Harry completely, melted into his touch of course. Lucius wasn't the sort to like a 'dead body' passive, Percy responded to subtle cues and commands.
So he chewed his lip, quickly looked Harry up and down, and read his need to be touched, just in the way he was moving, the tilt of his head.
Percy took his urgency as a firm request, and followed Harry's touch hesitantly with a similar touch; then when he was well-received, (Harry shuddered, followed by a little hitch in his breath.) Percy spotted an indication of a tender spot, something subtle - the juncture of his jawline and neck and a whisper of breath there made Harry moan - So focused on Harry.
Most people would have paused and been smug at their success. Pulling away to grin or something would have given everyone time to think.
But Percy's been conditioned to keep his focus, not think, not keep his own interests in mind with the dominant partner. He's very self-disciplined. He waited, stayed open to Harry's next move, next cue, not leaving the moment (he's had eight years practice). Whatever Harry did, he followed with that earnest intensity.
And Harry was lost. He's completely unused to that type of focus. It was like a drug to him. Harry pressed up against Percy, wanting more contact, more touch. To him, the dance with Percy was a substitute for dancing with Ron. And when he was rubbing against Percy, it was Ron he wanted to be touching. Eventually, he started to grind up against Percy...not even aware that he's doing it. He just needed to get closer.
Percy's not a great dancer, but Harry didn't notice.
At the end of the dance, Percy stares at Harry's eyes with a really embarrassed 'deer in headlights' look, breathing hard. He looks like he's ready to kiss him. That look is reflected on Harry's face.
Then Percy recalls that people are staring, and he's as, well, hard as a rock. He shoots Ron a frightened look, because he suddenly recognises this is Ron's first direct exposure to his older brother's sex life - and leaves quickly for the men's room.
Harry had a strong urge to kiss Percy. Amongst other things. And that's disturbing him. After all, this is Percy. But, oh God, he's turned on. Harry's pretty shaken by the whole experience.
He makes his way to a private area to take care of his own erection. (Since Percy's got the men's room, he ducks into the alley...) And he's never had to toss off at a club before. Ever. And as he does, he thinks about the dance, and Percy morphs into Ron in his fantasy. It's incredible.
No wonder Ron is furious, freaked, upset, guilty, depressed, and generally hating everyone by the time he leaves. But when Harry came in the alley...it was Ron's name he moaned. All those feelings that he thought were dealt with, all those desires that he thought he had tucked away deep down inside never to see the light of day again...they've all exploded out.
And he's guilty and confused and depressed and furious with himself for letting all those emotions come back up to the surface."
Oi. Any questions?
