... can you say standstill if I hadn't even started yet? I find I have little time during the week to write, between work and pet-sitting and ... life.
I didn't start till last week.
And yet --
17303 / 40000 words. 43% done!
In about four days, this weekend and last.
Have written 13 of 36 scenes. Have partially written four more. If I keep plugging away tonight, maybe I can reach the halfway point.
I hope to finish the baby dragon scenes tonight. That's... about six scenes.
All of this progress is brought to you by: Doctor Wicked's Write or Die. I've been setting it to 48 minutes/800 words.
These statistics mean that John has arrived at the Weyr, had his first encounters with dragons, has attempted to have his cake and eat it, too. He's now finding out what life in the dragonweyr is really like.

Oh. And he's met Rodney. Also the hard way.
