My boss said about our summer hours:

"I hate myself. It's soooo hard to come in after being here so late. But I'm the one who set the schedule!"

Our summer schedule is insane. But I'm too tired to complain.

Not home until 10pm Monday night. Out the door at 8:30am Tuesday. Home at 7ish that night. Catch up on missed sleep on Wednesday morning until 10am -- then I'm not home until 10pm again. I'm out the door at 8:30am again on Thursday. Temple all day Friday. Leave for work Saturday 8:30am. Day off Sunday.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

With the dog and my whacked out work hours, I haven't had much time for anything else. I don't know why. I mean, the dog takes about an hour a day. Work is nine hours, no lunch or dinner breaks, and tends to run late. So that's ten-eleven hours out of every day.

Oh.

Never mind.

But mostly it's my schedule. I can't set up any consistent habits. The lack of a weekend is running me down. I feel worn to a thread.

Tonight I want to work on my Atlantis Big Bang story ... and now the battery problem has come back on the laptop. I have it plugged in, but it's only giving me 16 minutes of battery time. It's like the connector cable sometimes doesn't click in. The previous borrower of this laptop (it's loaned, gratis, from [personal profile] gblvr) dropped it.

...and it's magically fixed itself again. But after 40 minutes of screwing with it, cleaning poop off the rug (thanks, Simbha, I'm never letting you out of my sight again) tossing the dog outside (where he's yapping up a pissed off storm), it's now 11:30pm.

And I have to work all day tomorrow.

*whimper* I volunteered to take my mom to an art museum on Sunday. And I don't want to give up my only day off....
