I'm hungry, but my aunt is upstairs and I don't feel like cooking in public.

This is weird of me, isn't it? That when sharing a house, sometimes I go into hiding mode? And if the kitchen is occupied, I don't eat?

I do that to. Even at home.

It just feels as if, when I'm eating alone, I'm eating food that belongs to all of us and I'm "stealing" from my family... This didn't get better when my first host family in Germany asked me to eat less because they couldn't afford that much food (that's when I got into the habit of buying little yoghurts and cans of corn for myself)
