You realize of course that I'm going to be spamming you until Saturday.

To bring you up to date after my two weeks of silence (you have fic in your future):

- Car has been purchased, life thereby transformed.
- Kitties are now as advertised: Taffy naps in my lap and is adorably attached.
- Have done ridiculous amounts of research on car waxing.
- Helped my aunt clean out her second bedroom.

Oh, and by the way, did I mention that I just finished an 80k novel?

Preview here.

The story archive is opening on Saturday, September 25th.

*head tilt* I may finally get to see Inception now.

Kitty was hiding in my blanket this morning. There's a bullying tomcat who chases her like prey. I've tried to convince her that running only encourages him.

Oh poor Kitty! :: scritches her behind ears & smoothes whiskers :: Please tell her that there is hope, if she can be patient & brave. We brought 2 middle-aged formerly-female cats into our house almost 3 years ago when we already had a big middle-aged formerly-tomcat & a very young female. Unfortunately other upsets in the cat world happened about the same time, & the big fellow developed a violent streak & started stalking & attacking the older girls. They had to suffer several vet visits for bites & abscesses, even while I tried to keep them segregated. I really feared for a while that I'd have to rehome or euthanize the big guy even tho' we'd had him for 8 years.

Fortunately, some judicious experimentation with drugs & tincture of time has smoothed things out tremendously. Even the scarediest of the scaredygirl cats ventures out into the common areas for pets & treats, while the braver of the girls is in serious contention for Top Cat. The youngest female stalks & pounces on everyone but, since she never grew larger than ~8 pounds & the rest are 13-16 pounds, they don't exactly tremble in fear. She does manage to provoke the big male into literally sitting or lying on her once in a while, however, which is good for learning new feline cuss words.... ;-)
