Rounders for Japan
Mar. 22nd, 2011 11:07 amThe temple members have been doing round the clock prayer/practice for Japan since last Wednesday.
The situation at the nuclear power plants seems to be moving toward an even keel. Whew.
Took a breather on Sunday and hung out with S., and a breather last night to just watch TV and work on the OAR (Overly Ambitious Rug -- currently at 9 sq ft). Now watching TV in the middle of the day. I feel naughty.
Planning a little garden but not working on it yet (frost still possible this weekend).
H5O seems to be the current hot fandom. Though it seems to be a stand-in rather than a fandom love affair like SGA and HP. I'll try watching the show, but I've never gotten into writing fic for "real world" based shows before. I watch them. But don't seem to write for them. And I miss writing fic.
Hmmm....
I still have overdue fics for the
help_haiti project. I'm going to resurrect those.

Date: 2011-03-22 07:08 pm (UTC)I'm not at all sure that H5O qualifies as a real-world-based show. (Admittedly, at the end of another New England winter I'm not sure I believe that Hawaii is anything other than a lovely lovely dream.) But the show is a vigilante-justice-based fantasy with lots of pretty backgrounds and people, and it wouldn't be hard to consider it the planet of New Hawaii off the Boeshane Peninsula.
