I was a little surprised at the U of M one, but they only accepted 2% of their applicants this year. I'm not surprised at the UVA program, which only accepts ten people. But I was caught off guard tonight. I was braced for a letter from them, and got an email. The rejection letter's going out next week, they tell me. Because the one thing better than rejection is hearing it twice....
