It wasn't warm, but I'm not sure how old the watermelon was. It was on someone else's counter first....

It was weird. It almost smelled good, like almost-watermelon, but then ... not.

I went to school in an area of Michigan that has a lot of orchards, & a fresh-fruit-&-cider stand was just down the road in easy walking distance. I bought a couple of plastic jugs of cider on the weekend & stored one under my bunk bed while I drank the other. Turns out fresh cider = unpasteurized cider, & fresh cider + overly-warm dorm room + several days = SPLOOEY.

Our dorm room smelt like a hard-cider brewery for months. Sadly, I love apples & cider so much that even that didn't turn me off it. ;-)

Well, nothing could turn me off Michigan cider. Mmmm. Fresh from the cider mill with those sweet donuts that are crunchy on the edges....
