Our next victim - er - candidate: Sushi!
Jan. 15th, 2004 03:26 pmLet move along to another prolific author, the only one on the list who's collected works will probably include a 12-volume set on the same story (wink):
wikdsushi.
Remember that
amanuensis1 did open that pandora's box of write-in votes, which I will add as I notice them. The fics I select for the vote are arbitrary, but if you want to beat up one story in favour of another, remember to take it outside.. to
hpbnfdm_lives where that sort of thing is encouraged. Besides.
wikdsushi will attack you with Teefs.
Civil War
In Academia
The Beast
The Last Dance (Drama section)
The Consequences Of A Weary Mind (Humour section)
Note: These links will all take you to the same place.
The write-ins have already begun:
Fire Burn and Cauldron Double
Shedding Skin
Two
Welcome to my Nightmare
Flight
(Snickering still: I have whiplash from Sushi's nomination.)
ETA: Oh. Right. Don't forget to tell us why you're voting for whichever fic.
ETA2: Ha. And I thought this wouldn't have as many write-ins.
ETA3: I thought you should know that the steamcleaner infomercial I'm watching says - "not all steam is created equal."
I think that needs more of a sense of authority. Ah. I know --
"Confucius say, not all steam created equal."
The votes are in, and the results are (drumroll please) Here!
Other votes are Maya, Amanuensis, Rushlight, Anna, Aspen, Cybele, and Cassandra Claire.

Date: 2004-01-16 12:30 am (UTC)No, for some reason I prefer it to civil war - even though that was the fic which drwe me kicking and screaming into the fandom. Maybe because it was easier to relate to Sev the mislead(and who has not been), than sev the snarky potions master. Or maybe because I could actually see the screen when I read In Academia - Civil War had me crying so much it was like "Line" *sniffle, sniffle, bawl, new box of tissues* "Line", *bawl, bawl bawl* ad infinitum...
How are you feeling today by the way - any better?Oh and tattoos are addicitve, after I had mine done I had to be physically restrained from getting more- so make sure you have something to do directly afterwards!

Date: 2004-01-16 12:44 am (UTC)*sheepish grin* Sorry! I don't mean to leave trauma in my wake! It just happens! (The Trilogy is going to get just as bad. Great. I'll traumatise the general reading public. Hey, wait a minute...)
I'm not too bad today, almost kinda perky. Still coughing, still can't breathe, but mostly cheerful.
Hehh... yesss. I have one that I did myself when I was eighteen, and the only reason I didn't do a thousand more is I couldn't make the kanji I wanted look right. I think I'll probably end up with a Greek epitaph on each forearm (Theban Band on the left, Leonidas' men on the right). After that, it's just a matter of finding the money and the languages. I'm drooling in anticipation.

Date: 2004-01-16 01:03 am (UTC)ygrane told me that the kanji is lovely - I would not have the balls to do a homegrown tatoo anytime, I know i'd cock up big time. Mmmm... armbands are really cool... this is so unfaircause I cannot get any more - they are to likely to show at work, and tatoo'd architects have too much of a social stimga against them. tatoo'd females- kiss your job goodbye.
thanks for the added sensation - and you better eamil me your real name when the trilogy is published - I want to squee randomly. Probably you'll skyrocket to number one if you post the name on your LJ, you have quite a following...
hee hee hee
1. Wikdsushi - Trilogy - gloomy and depressing, but for some reason strange looking people with worried spouses from europe to southern USA are snapping this up like hotcakes. *look of confusion on the Times Literary Critic* It's a first novel.. where did she get the following.
Or
JKR pays sushi a couple of million dollars for the use of Civil War as an ending to the Potty Series - and sushi migrates to the UK where I can easily bug her, and looses all her allergies. Baby starts to hunt deer and pheasant - and Stu wanders around with his sexy accent.
Mmmm.... can you tell i'm procrastinating?
