Well I've been watching these commentaries with interest, and really enjoyed them. Do you want a commentary on any of my fics (if I didn't list the one you were interested, just drop it in comments... [livejournal.com profile] mctabby, you know the story and the main, her, thrust behind, Ron/Teaspoon. ;)

I'd love to see a commentary on Primer, but I'm not sure I want to make you do the work. ;) If it seems too long, ignore my vote in that direction, then.

I'm not going to do line by line commentaries for any of them. I'd never be able to fit the entirety of, say, Death Eater Rock, in a post. Sure, I'll do Primer.

Skinny Dipping is a story I keep recommending to people who want porn, Harry porn, Percy porn, porn that proves how sweet porn can be, or just hot boysmut in general, and I would love to see your line-by-line comments on it.

Both Zen Taxi and Guy Talk had a lot of little details and amusing lines that I wasn't getting because they were so clearly part of the fic; seeing your comments on either of these would be seeing the workings of a maestra.

And of course I voted for An Irresistible Photo, because your Harry, Ron, and photographs are an irresistible combination!

I was hoping someone would select Skinny Dipping, actually. There's a story behind that one.

An Irresistible Photo was actually the first HP story I wrote.

Ooh, I'd love to see a commentary on Beg Me For It and Zen Taxi. I'm curious as to why you mentioned the color of the hankie. I know with most of your writings, it's like an Alfred Hitchcock movie, only the important things are noted, the rest is left to the imagination.

Though you didn't mention the type of fabric the hankie was made of, I can almost picture Draco using something of a soft cotton or even (twisted and unheard of) flannel, rather than something like the usual linen hankie. Ask the guru how flannel would feel and I think you'd understand. *picturing Draco in flannel pj's*

There's actually a good reason I told you the colour, as well as a good reason it's blue. But thanks for mentioning it, because I might not have thought of it telling you about that level of detail if you hadn't asked. I'm doing these in the order of popularity, so at this point Beg Me For It is first.

I hope you decide to do more than 1 commentary, I really want to know about Skinny Dipping (and Sweet Hypocrisy but I'm trying not to be greedy) and it doesn't look like it will be the #1 choice.

Oh, I'm just deciding what order to do them in actually.

Drat...I just voted for one (Primer) and I could have voted for Guy Talk or Zen Taxi too.

I tend to like longer more drawn out fics. Hence my deep devotion to Primer. One of the little things that I liked in Primer was the bit with the sugar bowl and I'd be very interested in your perspective on that. Well, that and about a hundred other moments, of course.

Great. When I do Primer, I'll make sure I cover the sugar bowl. That one's going to be really fun to do, Primer to the Dark Arts consumed six weeks of my life and I even get caught up in reading it again when I try to edit.

Oh damn Icarus, I lost the entry where you posted the 'soundtrack' or the music that inspired you to write the R/D stories. I'm in a music mood and I wanted to listen to all of them.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, there wasn't anything for Beg Me For It, but what wrote the mood for Sex, Drugs And Death Eater Rock was Red Hot Chili Pepper's album 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic.' The tune for Scarred, what Ron and Draco dance to, is the last part of 'Sir Psycho Sexy' on that same album (the part that sounds like the soundtrack to a japanese movie). Then the music for Hey You is Pink Floyd, 'Hey You' and 'Comfortably Numb.'

Hope I'm in time. ;)

Yep.

Now, if only my program would load...

Thanks a lot!

Btw, I am now even more happy to rec Beg Me For It after reading the commentary behind it.

Ron and Draco's themes for Hey You and the drabbles are Metallica's 'Ride The Lightning.' In particular Ron's guitarwork in Music (the song he was trying to figure out) is 'Fade To Black' on that album: "Emptiness is filling me...."

Oh, if you want to get in the mood for the upcoming part, SNAFU:

- Judas Priest album 'Unleashed In The East.'
- Metallica's album 'Ride The Lighting.'
- Beastie Boys 'No Sleep Till Brooklyn,' 'Rhymin' And Stealin,' 'She's Crafty,' 'Fight For Your Right (To Party).'
- Rush 'Stick It Out.'
- Metallica 'Enter The Sandman,' 'The Unforgiven,' 'Through The Never,' 'Battery,' 'Master Of Puppets,' 'Orion.'
- Helmut 'In The Meantime,' 'Unsung,' 'Turned Out,' 'Better,' 'Role Model.'
- Midnight Oil 'Beds Are Burning' and 'Brave Faces.'

The music for the part after SNAFU, Stand In The Ruins is all from Soundgarden's album 'Superunknown.'

Yeah, Ron's theme when he splits off from Draco in the battle is Mettalica's 'Battery.'

Thanks, this is fun, I'm playing all this music now.

Now I'm very interested: how so?

Well, I have to say that I found the whole read as fascinating as if I was reading it all over again, for the first time.

i'm picking up more things and they now make more sense. I will get into more detail tomorrow sometime when my brain cooperates more.

BUT, I will re-read them all again, even the drabbles, to the music. It's gonna be so cool!

Now, I want to give you something, as a thank you, like, my soul, but I need that still.

I would offer you my firstborn, but you don't want kids?

A fic instead? I don't think I can compare to you at all but I won't even try.

Bottom line is: I really love this little universe you created and I want to find something to thank you by. I feel like reccing is not enough. So maybe I'll just surprise you when I come up with something.

Am now writing emails to send links to fics.

Icarus!

Why is it that all your R/D stuff on your website only links to one single, specific entry in your LJ?

O_o

I'm confuzzled...

Btw, I am in HEAVEN listening to all this music now.

I'm trying to send links to the story to a friend but all of them, inclusing the drabbles point to your lj.

HELP!!!

I don't why, but for some reason the links are working for Internet Explorer but not Netscape. Do either of you have IE? The real problem is that I don't know what I'm doing with HTML.

Damn. I thought I fixed them. I'll try to fix them again.

Btw, I am in HEAVEN listening to all this music now.

Purrrrrr. Nice stuff, huh?
