Computer Problems are back.

I walked through the door after a late night at school to find wildernessguru frantic.

I broke this down to:

Problem with computer.

Again.

Eventually I got him to breathe and explain. His voice hits the upper registers and language deteriorates (further) when the computer blows up. He hates that sense of helplessness.

It's a registry problem. Again.

I can't fix it. Again.

It brought up household money issues. Again.

I have most of my system backed up this time, with the exception of the latest stories I've been working on (BlackOps!Jack and tboy's party story, damn it). And my homework that's due Friday. *sigh*

We're talking to the computer guy this afternoon. Fortunately I'm not getting an invalid disk error this time. Instead I have a configuration/registry issue. But the computer won't restart in Safe mode. It just starts to open windows and hangs. When I tried to run SCANREG it tells me it's backing up the registry, then restoring the registry... then it hangs.

Shit.
